The Cardiff Players have been entertaining audiences for almost 100 years but we try not to act our age! Our mission is to make quality theatre accessible to everyone. We offer our members the opportunity to learn new skills and develop their creative interests in a friendly, supportive environment.

Whatever you want to do, we've something for you. No experience needed! You can learn skills like acting, directing, stage management, set design, prop and costume making, lighting and sound and script writing. There's always something new to learn with theatre! Many of our members came along out of curiosity, caught the theatre bug and went on to forge professional careers in the arts. Whatever your ambition you'll find a warm welcome and plenty of support with The Cardiff Players.

WHAT'S ON
The Highwayman
Bold Harold is down on his luck, out of confidence and needs YOUR help to get some gold, find a recruit and dodge the noose.
We've teamed up with our friends at Dewis Theatre to bring you The Highway, a brand new, interactive experience that gives the audience meaningful choices that directly affect the outcome of the show. Our last run was in October 2019, with the second run unfortunately cancelled due to world events. Here's some of the feedback we got from the audience:

Our shows can't happen without the tireless efforts of our creative team. Live theatre production offers a never-ending variety of challenges for those who like making and building things. Our volunteers have done everything from Blacksmithing to 3d printing over the years. If you'd like to join the team we'd love to hear from you!
